Fighter Application

• All boxers must have a physical signed by a Doctor. PA physicals will not be accepted
• All boxers must go to STABA.ORG and register as a boxer. (60 days before fight)

Candidates must be amateur boxers – someone who has not previously participated in any competition offering money to winners and non-winners. Previous participation is an automatic disqualification from boxing at the Heroes Brawl Boxing Tournament.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must work for a department located in San Antonio, TX or surrounding county
• USA Boxing requires candidates be registered each participating year
• Participants are categorized by: 1. Age (5 years) 2. Weight 3. Height (4 inches)
• Candidate utilizes 16 oz. gloves and headgear provided by STABA
• Bouts will be three 1 minute rounds.
• Bouts are 1-minute rounds, 3 rounds
• Candidates are evaluated by a representative

The objective is to match each candidate as closely as possible to an opponent by weight, height, years of age and skill level. (Heroes Brawl follows application information) It’s possible not every candidate will get a match. Heroes Brawl’ goal is to have 20 bouts. Heroes Brawl will make all possible attempts to match each candidate by weight, height, years of age and skill level. It’s possible the boxer you’re fighting competed last year.

BE ADVISED

All rules and regulations are endorsed by USA BOXING. Judging and scoring done through USA BOXING. Heroes Brawl committee members DO NOT participate in judging or scoring.

To participate in the 2024 Heroes Brawl Boxing Tournament, please complete the attached form and contact Heroes Brawl Evaluation Representative Jessica Ramos @ 210-784-6694. Mrs. Ramos schedules all candidates for an evaluation study and will text you the location of evaluation. 

Evaluations held at Rios Boxing Gym or Red Rooster, and consists of mitts, aerobic ability, boxing skills and natural abilities.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: Because things happen and circumstances change, your schedule bout for event is not 100% guaranteed. In the event that your opponent drops out of the fight, for any reason, Heros Brawl San Antonio is not liable for reimbursing ticket purchases and donations. Because of the tight schedule leading up the event, Heros Brawl San Antonio is also not liable for finding you a replacement opponent after September 10, 2024 or within two weeks of the event date.

Available schedule days for evaluation (by appointment only) – SUNDAY /MONDAY 2024.   Jessica will contact you for your evaluation day and time The objective is to have all participants evaluated and matched by July 30, 2024.
